Utilities - Citizen Home Solutions
Crestwood Apartments partners with Citizen Home Solutions, our move-in concierge service, to help facilitate the setup of your utilities after you move-in. This is a FREE service to assist you with connecting gas, electricity, cable, internet, and other services at your apartment.
Subject to your move-in date, Citizen Home Solutions will attempt to contact you over the next 1-2 business days to activate your utilities. CHS will attempt to contact you via phone call at a maximum of 3 attempts. Please expect their call to set up utilities or click here to schedule a call at a time that is most convenient for you!
Utilities: Electric.
If you do not express interest in our free connection services with CHS, you will need to transfer electric into your name by called the electric company. This needs to be done within 3 days. If the transfer is not completed, the electric company may shut off service to your address. The contact info is:

Utilities: Internet.
You can choose from a number of internet provider options available. Many of the cell phone companies (TMobile, Verizon, etc) now offer wireless options. Xfinity is the most commonly used cable internet provider by other residents. You can contact Xfinity directly for installation.
If you do not have an Xfinity outlet in your apartment, Xfinity will require a permission letter for install.

Rent Payments.
All rent payments are made via your profile on http://mjnrentals.managebuilding.com/. This is where you will be able to see upcoming bills, past payments, and scheduled payments.
All rents are paid on a biweekly basis. That means there will be 26 equal payments due each year. You are able to make payments as often as you choose. Some people make weekly payments, and others put their tax return towards the rent. Any extra payments or credits will automatically be applied to your future due rents.
We offer three ways to make rent payments:
Bank Transfer. Most of our tenants connect their bank account to the resident center to make convenient payments directly from their bank. There is no fee applied for bank transactions.
Credit/Debit Card Payments. Some tenants opt to make all rental payments via Debit or Credit Card. If you choose this payment option, please be aware that there will be an automatic processing fee applied.
Retail Pay. Retail pay allows you to pay through card or cash at a retail location near you using a unique pay code that only we can send you! Please text us at (219) 690-8190 for more details on this payment option, and please be aware that there is a $3.99 processing fee.
Move In Checklist.
Over the first couple of days, you will need to complete your move in checklist. Please email the checklist back to us along with any photos of issues that were present when you moved in.
If we do not receive the checklist or photos, we will assume everything was good with the apartment when you moved in.

Laundry.
Coin laundry is available in each building. The price is $2.00 per load. Some of the machines have not yet been adjusted to the correct price. We will also install ClearToken soon so you can pay by phone.
